28 Weeks!!!

Hello Third Trimester!!!!! I cannot believe I am already here - I am just in awe at my changing body and how much I can feel Logan. It is such a miracle - such a blessing.
My sweet friend Irene (she lives 3 hours away) reminded me that I needed to take a recent belly picture - I forgot that she doesn't see my ever changing belly and I want to remember what I looked like as well.
So, this is for you dear Irene, I miss you so - and I wish you were here with me... but for now this will have to do :)

In fact, I was wearing this to work today and one of our front desk girls ever-so-politely shouted "Dang! Yo stomach is getting BIG!" I replied "Yes, I am aware of that, babies do grow inside the belly." Luckily she knew I was pregnant - otherwise that would have been a MAJOR faux pas. ;)
Love to you all - Happy Friday!!!

And The Countdown Begins...

I cannot believe I am almost to the THIRD and FINAL trimester!!! I am 27 weeks now and when I hit 28 weeks (in a few days) I will be in the home stretch! Where did this time go? Seriously? I feel like I just saw that positive pregnancy test, and now I am almost ready to see this precious miracle that has been growing inside me....wow...almost too much to process :)

Logan is roughly 2 pounds and the size of a head of cauliflower. I can feel him ALL the time - and his movements are still nice and smooth. No jabs to the ribs quite yet, although I am sure that is coming my way! In fact, as I type this he is a jumping bean in my belly, moving all over the place.

I had my Glucose test today and oh let me tell you how lovely it was. (Not!) I had a fruit punch drink that was much too sweet. Ick. I actually chugged it down because I was so very thirsty and once it was down I realized how sicky sweet it was - it was like a jolt in my body. I think it sent Logan in a sugar coma - ha!

This is what it looked like - except it was red. They took blood after an hour and I should have the results within a week or so. Crossing fingers all turns out well! I certainly welcome any prayers for a healthy outcome :) I can't imagine going on a carb-free and fruit-free diet my last weeks of this pregnancy if I fail the test. Complete torture!

My doctor said everything looks great - Logan is growing on track and is healthy right now which is a blessing! She said I am measuring for a July 25th due date but we'll see. I still have money on July 21st. He will come when he is good and baked - which is fine by me :)

One Relaxing Babymoon!

My fabulous weekend started off with this YUMMY and oh so cute Sky candy bar that my sweet hubby picked up at Walmart. I am sure you can see why I was so excited about this candy bar ;)

We went on our Babymoon getaway to our favorite Bed and Breakfast in Hot Springs, Ar. this weekend with Lauren and John - also celebrating their babymoon since she is only a few weeks behind me :)

I know I have posted before about Tinkerbelle's Wildwood B&B, but you can never have too much of a good thing. It is such a nice relaxing getaway and we love to catch up with Rebecca and David, the owners, since they are now like family after visiting them for roughly 8 years!

We arrived and Rebecca greeted us and was immediately shocked and excited to see that I was pregnant - we kept it a secret until we saw them. We booked the King David room which is the first room we ever stayed in at Tinkerbelle. We were so young and had been together about a year and wanted to come to Hot Springs for a weekend away from college classes - ha! (If we only knew how easy we had it in college) The King David room has the most amazing bed - it is one of the best in the house, soo comfy and it is also known for its large tub - Trey just loves it!

We met Lauren and John at Rolando's for dinner and Trey and John ordered some pretty colorful drinks - it was hilarious that they matched their shirts!

Delish guacamole and queso dip!

Do you recognize this couch? We donated it to Rebecca and David since it is a Victorian style and most of their furniture looks very similar. We wanted someone to have it that would use it and not trash it since it is very pretty and in great shape! We were thrilled that they would accept the pieces and we drove them to Hot Springs one rainy weekend to give them a new home. I am so glad they can use the couch and chairs - it looks amazing in their entry way!

The dining room - where the "die-and-go-to-heaven" breakfast is served every morning at 9.

One of the best things about Tinkerbelle is the amazing gourmet breakfast that is served daily. Rebecca is such a great cook - her creations are so yummy and unlike any other B&B. Our favorite thing is to come down stairs in the morning right around 9 am and peer into the dining room to see what she has in store for us - this is what we had Saturday morning - ahhhhhhhhh

That chocolate muffin sundae is SINFUL! :)

After waddling out of breakfast we got ready and went shopping to burn off a few calories. We walked the downtown strip and went to a large antique store. The guys totally surprised us with Prenatal Massages at 2:30 which was super nice! After walking around all day we needed some rubdown on our backs and feet. It was amazing - major brownie points for our hubby's - they are too sweet.

We went to dinner at J and S Italian Villa which is always tasty - I ordered the baked ziti and the chicken verona was also yummy.

We were exhausted and crashed in bed after a late dinner. Sunday morning (I failed to get a pic of the board but I did get a photo of each dish) We started off with lemon poppyseed bread with a lemon glaze

Then, fruit medley and a ham, egg, and cheese English muffin

And the last course was the decadent blueberry pancakes!

We should have taken pics on our dinner evening, but totally forgot! Here we are on Sunday morning - full from that yummy breakfast!

We had such a nice weekend - it turned out to be great weather which was a nice surprise. I cannot believe that next time we go back we will have babies! I am sure it will be a while - but still, it is very surreal that this was our last time at Tinkerbelle without children. Reality is starting to set in - whoa :)

Nursery Part 1

Oh Happy Day! Trey got all the baby furniture up and together over the past two days and it looks amazing in our chocolate nursery!! Here is a first glimpse of Logan's room:

dresser/changing table

chest of drawers

Book shelf

Amazing crib!!!

And..........the bedding is HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the lamp shade I had made to match - sooo stinkin cute :)

And the bedding!!

Don't worry, I will show much more later - we need to buy the mattress for the crib and then I can put the bedding together and take more pics ;) I also ordered a couple of items from etsy.com for Logan's room - they shipped this week! Things are really coming together - it feels so good since I have been a little stressed with cleaning out the room and getting things ready. It is so weird to have baby furniture in our house - a baby really is coming to live with us... I think I am realizing that more and more - ha!
Nothing else has really been going on - work work and more work. But, this weekend we are going on our Babymoon with my friend Lauren and her hubby to Hot Springs! Yay!!! I will post pics when we get home. Last getaway before Logan arrives - oh my!
Wishing you a happy ending to your week!

Our Sweet Little Guy!

I had my 25 week ultrasound today at a high-risk specialist since I have high-blood pressure. I am on preventive blood pressure medication, and I have been since high school. Everything looks great, but my OBGYN just wants to monitor me and Logan to make sure he keeps growing on track and the fluid levels and measurements come out normal and safe. So far so good! He looked perfect and is measuring right on for 25 weeks. They mentioned that my due date might be July 25th instead of July 21st - but it has changed several times so I am sticking with July 21st :)

It was very neat because this Doctor has very high tech equipment and we got to see more of Logan than at my Doctor. It still was not as good as Baby Views though! We go back there for the 4D on May 11th and I cannot wait!

Here are some pics from today's visit - look at our precious little man!

(If you click on the pic you can blow it up)

I am so thankful everything looked normal for now - we are continuing to pray and think positive that Baby Logan will make it all the way through the pregnancy until it is safe for him to come out and greet the world! We can't wait to meet this little guy :)

Dallas Shower Weekend

I had the most wonderful, perfect weekend in Dallas for my first Baby Shower. I just feel so unbelievably blessed and lucky to have such an amazing support system of family and friends. Logan is one very loved and spoiled baby boy! :)

Mom and I drove to Dallas on Thursday and stayed at GrandMary's house. We had El Fenix Mexican that night - sooo good! Then, we ate BBQ on Friday and I drove to Irving to see Amber and tour her hotel where she works. We picked up Miss Aubrey her precious daughter, and we went to the park to play with her. (shame on me for not taking any pics!) But we had a blast and it is so neat to see how big Aubrey is and all that she can do. I still remember when she was 6 months old eating cereal for the first time! Oh how time flies. Andrew picked up Aubrey and Amber and I went to Fireside Pies to have pizza and cheese salad! (Yes, you read that right - CHEESE salad - I was in heaven)

Somerset and Lauren flew into Dallas Friday evening and all the girls met at Grand Lux to have dessert while they had a snack. I ordered a delish Shirley Temple and enjoyed every sip.

Our oh-so-tasty desserts

We checked into the hotel and finally went to sleep - we were exhausted! Saturday was my first baby shower and it was hosted by my family at my Aunt's house. They truly did a spectacular job - everything looked so beautiful and the food was yummy too!
Look at this amazing table - my diaper cake made by Amy and the little cakes - also M&M's with "Logan Holland" on them - too stinkin cute!

Amy also made this wonderful picture board for me in the nursery room colors - she asked me to bring a few pics of Trey and I when we were little and one of the sonogram. How cute is this display? I am excited to put this in his little room!

I sipped on lemonade and greeted each guest as they arrived. So many of my dear friends came - some all the way from Little Rock/Fayetteville and others live in the Dallas area. My cousins were there as well as my GrandMary and some of her family. My Sister in law and niece also came which was so sweet since they drove from San Antonio! I definitely felt like a very lucky girl - it was such a special day.
I brought my little guest book to write what gifts/who gave them so I can have it to remember and to write thank-you notes. Somerset started this and made it for my Wedding showers and I continuted the tradition for my Baby Showers. I bought cute stickers to add to it and voila!
Here are some pics of me opening presents...

I had so much fun I didn't want it to end - Logan received so many fabulous gifts, we are so fortunate and he will be so spoiled with all this cute stuff!! :)
Saturday night we went to Matt's Mexican for my very favorite cheese dip in the whole world - Bob Armstrong Dip!! It is To Die For. Seriously. It is yummy yellow cheese dip and then they add Guacamole, taco meat, and sour cream - sooooo addicting! We always order two large bowls to start off with!

Jess stirring the famous Bob dip!

We ate so much and it was oh so good! We were all so tired we headed back to the hotel after dinner and passed out in bed. We got up Sunday and drove back to Little Rock.
I cannot believe this is the last major trip I will take before I have a BABY!!!! I honestly cannot believe it - when will it hit me that I am delivering a baby in July??? I will always treasure this wonderful trip spending time with my best friends and sweet family. Precious memories to keep forever :)
