Memphis Adventure!

I had a lot of fun this weekend - Irene came into town and we went on a Memphis Adventure on Saturday for Sarah's bachelorette party! We caravaned to Tennessee and I only had to make one stop to pee! Yay for me, I was very proud of my pregnant self :)

Irene and I before we left...

23 Weeks!

Hello Memphis!
The Beauty Shop - Delish!

Loved this sign - Be Nice or Leave. I can't even count how many times I feel like saying that to my clients! ha!

Yummy Ravioli

Irene and I split my dish and her grilled cheese with bacon - sooo sinful!

We went shopping after lunch and got some TCBY. We went to the hotel and the girls got ready. We had a lingerie shower in one of the suites for Sarah and it was too cute - she opened some hot little numbers :)
Me and the Beautiful Bride-to-be!

Irene and I drove back after the shower before they all went to dinner. We were starving so we stopped at Mickey D's and ate some burgers and fries. They have the best fries!!!

My dramatic fry picture

Irene with her happy meal toy - ha!

Trey and I had a busy Sunday. My Dad was in town they went to pick up our nursery furniture that was delivered to JC Penny!! We got it all in the living room and oh my word. It takes up so much space. The crib alone is crazy huge! (or the box is) We went to lunch with my parents and then opened all the boxes to make sure we had all the parts. Now, the nursery isn't even close to being ready to add furniture - but we are working on that. The garage is looking better and better and we finally have some room to move my seasonal clothes binds out there to store. Hopefully this weekend or next we can put the furniture in the room and I will definitely take pics!
For dinner we decided to try and different restaurant and we found this cute Mediterranean restaurant called Istanbul. It was honestly one of the best ethnic places we have been too! We ordered an appetizer trio with amazing hummus and spinach pastries. I had the Falafel sandwich and Trey had the gyro platter.

We will definitely be going back! We were just so surprised how good it was. This week looks pretty slow, Lauren and John's Gender Reveal Party is this weekend and I will definitely post pics of that when we find out what Baby Simmons is!! Logan will either have a best buddy or sweet girlfriend - either way we can't wait to find out! :)

Date Night!

Guess who has a Date with a certain sparkly Vampire tonight??? ME!!! I had my normal date night on Monday with my hubby, and date night number 2 tonight with Edward (and Jacob)! I opened my mailbox this afternoon and screamed aloud when I saw my precious New Moon Dvd - ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I have been waiting for this for months! I am pretty sure every neighbor heard my shrieks and thought I had lost my mind. :)

The dogs are fed, I took my shower, and I am on my way to snuggle on the couch with my two hot dates. Hope your Wednesday is as FABULOUS as mine is about to be! ha! :)

Our Uneventful Weekend

This is what we have been doing at The Gould Household this weekend:

Being LAZY and playing with the pups...

Napping and lounging around the house (or in favorite corners if you are Bella)

And stuffing my face with Tylenol Cold pills - yes I am SICK. I have felt bad the past four days and it got a little better, then worse. Ugh. I have been achy, sore, coughing, sneezing, blowing my nose, and drinking tons of water. Oh, and the Cadberry mini eggs are to make me feel a little better. Trey and I LOVE these little creme filled bits of heaven but aren't going to buy any more than this for Easter. Mmmmmmmmmm!

Spring was in the air - which is why I put out my Easter plate in my kitchen. It is cold and damp this weekend, but it will hopefully move out and make way for the spring beautifulness to grace us with its presence this upcoming week.

Finally! I took a couple of pics for me to remember. I have been very bad about that - actually, until a week or two ago I really had not changed that much from my 16 week picture. I am sure my belly grew a little, but I couldn't tell much in a few pics I took. But now - my goodness! You can definitely see Mr. Logan's safe haven (aka my tummy) :)

Yes, I did it. I took a cheesy shot of me looking at my stomach. He is the size of a carrot this week and it sure feels like he is growing rapidly. His movements are stronger every day it seems!
Well, I am off to lay on the couch and get more rest before my busy work week! Have a happy Monday :)

A little bit of this and that...

I finally had the guts to take it out. I have been waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the right moment. Trey kept asking me and my Doctor even said it was about time. But I just wasn't ready. Tonight, I finally felt ready. And so I did. I took it out.

My belly button ring - haha. I have had this ring since high school and let me tell you it was HARD to part with. I don't know why - I suppose because it means I am older and going to be a mom which brings more adult responsibility therefore making me feel even older. Which I am totally fine with, but it was still hard. My belly button looks so bare! :)

We finally found pictures to hand in the kitchen since our remodel. It has taken us forever to find the right picture - for the right price - and we hung them up last weekend.

It looks so much better with art on the walls!

We also decided on a bedding set and I am SO EXCITED about it!!!! It is from this fabulous website: www.modpeapod.com and here is a pic from the website:

It will be monogrammed with "Logan" and I am having them make a lampshade to match! I am also pretty sure we will do curtains too - still figuring that out. Isn't it adorable??? I am in love with the colors!

We are narrowing down our crib/furniture and I will post that when it arrives! Things are coming together nicely so far. I also signed up for our birthing class at our hospital and my first shower is coming up in April! Cannot wait!!
Logan has been moving around daily - I don't feel him when I am on the go, but when I sit down or right after a meal I can feel him dancing inside of me. Though, this week he feels bigger. More like a balloon floating around inside bouncing on the walls of my stomach - such a cool feeling! Before it was just a pop or light flutter but this is definitely distinct and I even felt it from the outside when I put my hands on my belly! Maybe Trey can feel it sooner than I thought. :)
I still owe a picture - I have been sick the past couple of days and I will take a pic this weekend - promise!!! ;)
Happy Friday Ya'll!

How About A Little Apple Tart?

Who doesn't love a little apple - whether it be fruit or the color - its divine! I would like to introduce you to my new BFF: Miss Apple Tart, my new diaper bag!!!!!

This beautiful bag is from Petunia Pickle Bottom and isn't she gorgeous???? I know, it looks like a purse - but it is specifically designed as a diaper bag - of course you could definitely use it as a large tote, but don't worry - it can hold its fair share of bottles and even comes with its own wipe case and changing pad. Momma did her research. :)

When I found this bag Trey immediately asked how much it was. "Um, its only $375" I whispered. Of course, he looked at me like I was insane, but he is used to my crazy addiction to purses and bags. He politely said if I could find one on eBay for MUCH cheaper then I could bid - and, well, I DID!!!! I searched for weeks and stalked this auction and stole it from the highest bidder at the last second - literally. Ahhh such a glorious feeling - coming out a winner! ha! It arrived in the mail on Friday and I have been in love ever since. Now, I told myself I wouldn't do anything hasty for a while. In fact, I am not cutting tags off or anything for a few months. I will do some thinking and researching to make darn sure this is the diaper bag I want to use and that it will be a practical bag. If I find another one or think I shouldn't, I can always re-sell the bag on eBay and make my money back plus some. (I used to be the queen of making money on eBay in college).

It is fabulous isn't it? :)

Lets see, this weekend has been good - we were productive and cleaned out some of our garage to make room for more stuff from inside the house - mainly from the nursery room closet. Its a process, but we are slowly making progress.

Also, my dear friend Lauren who is 3 weeks behind me is having a gender reveal party in April and I couldn't be more excited!! Rachel, her sister, delivered the invites to our mailboxes over the weekend and they were so stinkin cute I had to take a pic to remember them!

Here is the cute bottle that was in the mailbox.

You open it up to find this:

Then unroll the invite to see the super cute wording!

I cannot wait to find out what they are having - I am convinced it is a girl - but we'll see!!
Yes, I realize I haven't posted another pregnancy pic on my blog - shame on me! I will try to remember to take another one this week at 21 weeks and post it - whoops! I need to be better because I will want to remember what I looked like each week and how I changed. Or will I? ;)

Flutter Central...

Well, I finally felt Logan! What a miracle!!!

Now you didn't really think that was me did you??? Ha! He definitely is not that big at 20 weeks, and my tummy isn't quite that formed yet, but this is exactly what he has been doing for the last two days - punching and kicking like a crazy man. Of course it feels nice right now, like a big flutter or gas bubble. But also very different, I can totally tell a difference between him and gas - no doubt. :) I swear, last night he must have been rolling around and polishing his Tae Bo skills because for a solid hour when I was trying to go to sleep I felt very big flutters all over my tummy. So amazing!!
I was supposed to have my 20 week appointment today and we were excited because we were going to see Logan again for the 20 week ultrasound. However, my Doctor was sick or there was an emergency so it was canceled. Poop. Its rescheduled for Friday thank goodness I don't have to wait a week or two. I will give an update then!

Spring has Sprung!

Happy Spring Ya'll! I am so excited - I am a huge Fall/Spring fan - and though I loathe the hot sticky summer, Spring just puts me in this amazing mood. I have a little bounce in my step and a cheesey grin on my face whenever I step outside and the birds are chirping, my flowers are blooming, and the cool warmth of the weather is all around. Ahhhhhh simple pleasures in life.

I surprised Trey and took him to Mike's Place, a seafood/steak/cajun restaurant in Conway, AR. We have never been, but keep hearing great reviews. And they were voted best restaurant in the Arkansas Times - so I decided to take him there for a nice birthday dinner. I refused to tell him where we were going until we got into the car. We hoped into his car and I said "Take me to Conway!" He totally didn't see that coming - he was shocked :) So, we drove the 30 minutes and made it there just in time for our 7:45 reservation. (thank goodness I made a reservation, geez there were people everywhere who were waiting hours!) We still had to wait 20 minutes, because they were running behind, but that is nothing to what it could have been.

He loved his restaurant surprise and we had a lovely dinner and split a white chocolate creme brulee for dessert - YUM. It's hard to be creative when you have been together for 8+ years!

Look at these super cute wash clothes I bought for Logan at TJ Maxx on sale for $3.99!!! Perfect colors and the little "L" is so cute.

Today's agenda: CLEAN. MY. HOUSE. I have been doing so well, nesting I believe, but last week I got lazy. So, Trey's is hanging out with Bruce and I am cleaning house! I also have a Central Reunion meeting today to plan our 10 year reunion this summer - when did I get that old?? I will have my first baby and go to my reunion about a month apart - WHOA.

I Heart Baby Gap

I just HAD to show off these adorable clothes I bought for Logan tonight at Baby Gap - my first time in there and I almost went a little nuts. This is exactly the kind of clothes I love for baby boys - too cute!! Luckily, everything I found was on SALE!

Once again, this pic is turned funny - sorry!

Aren't these adorable??

I also ordered this newborn hat from Etsy and just got it in the mail - LOVE IT! Logan will wear it for his newborn pics. He will be too stinkin cute :)

Everything I bought is for when he is 12-18 months - which is perfect because I don't think many people buy you outfits at showers for that far away. I am pumped to see him in these clothes!

Have a glorious weekend - we are being low key which is always nice! :)

Happy 28th Trey!

Today is Trey's 28th birthday!! We typically don't buy gifts for bdays, we doing something creative - or semi creative. I left cards all through the house for him to find when he got off work this morning - he loved it! I picked up Kris and Sams cookies during lunch and his mom ordered his favorite King Cake.

He opened his one little gift from Baby Logan. I found these little baby puma socks on super sale at TJ Maxx - $5.00!! (the picture wouldn't turn, sorry)

He read his final card and looked in the bag...

Here it is - the cute onesie I bought over the weekend - expensive, but worth every dime - he LOVED it!! It says "My Dad's a Geek." Too cute!

We went to eat dinner at one of his favorites, Fantastic China and it was tasty. This weekend I plan to take Trey to a new restaurant we have never tried. That will be the second part of my creative birthday present - we always enjoy new places to eat!

Happy Happy Birthday to my one and only Boo. My real life Prince Charming :)

Cookie Love...

So, this is what I have been staring at the past two days...

Luscious, lovely, GIRL SCOUT COOKIES!!!! I tore open the boxes and dove into each kind - ohhh they are so yummy. This year I only ordered one box of each of the above (last year it was more like two boxes for EACH kind of cookie).
And yes, I polished off an entire package of thin mints in one sitting. So delish! :) I love these cookies, but also love that every time they come around, that means Spring is around the corner!! Yay!
