Stevie Wonder in the House!

Logan has been channeling Stevie Wonder. We put these super cool sunglasses on him and he started banging away on his piano toy!

Cooooooool Dude

Well it has dusted a couple of mornings this past week and today was one of them - we woke up and saw fresh snow on the ground!

We are getting prepared - it is supposed to hit hard tomorrow night so I ran to the store tonight to pick up food for the week, etc. It was every busy at 8 pm - just think what it will be like tomorrow!

Not liking Zucchini. At ALL.

But Gerber carrots on the other hand - mmmmmmmmm tasty

I broke down and bought a few Gerber pureed packets for Logan. He hasn't wanted any of the homemade food I made which I am sure tastes quite different. It is more earthy - raw/real and fresh. Which to us is good, but to a baby just getting the taste for new food it might be a little much in the beginning. I am going to keep making food, but wanted to see if he would even like certain foods from Gerber first. Once I know what he likes I can make that food again and see what he thinks. He is still liking bananas and pureed apples with his rice cereal in the morning. We tried Gerber carrots with avocado mixed in this afternoon and he LOVED it! He kept opening his mouth wanting every list bite! Carrots and Avocados? Who knew?

See my pretty pink toes?

Logan sure does - and he has become quite fascinated with them! It is hilarious, when he is in his door jumper and I am in the kitchen walking around doing dishes, etc. he stops jumping and stares at them intently.

See! too funny!

Sweet boy still LOVES his swing - it will be a very sad day for Logan (and mommy!) when he is too big for the swing.

But for now, we'll keep on swingin'!

Gibbering away while playing - he has really started squealing and it is so funny to hear - I think Sophie doesn't know what to think because he has become so vocal recently. He used to just lay around silent and now he is bouncing and jumping and squealing!

Frosty the Snowman is still his favorite book

mmmmmmmm pureed squash! Big hit!

Yet again, thanks Gerber. You definitely make a good pureed veggie.

Just a little concerned about your LONG shelf life.....hum...

So, Trey and I have started a new ritual that we are super excited about. Every Sunday after Logan goes down is Date Night la casa de Gould. No Internet, no blogging, no facebooking, no talking on phones - just hubby and wife. Since we can't go out once a week every week we decided to bring the romance home! I cleaned cobwebs off the table (ahem kidding folks, promise) and Trey popped open a bottle of bubbly and we had ourselves a nice little date.

Nothing says romance like a cheap frozen pizza. YUMO!

But Trey made his delish homemade ranch dressing and we had some salads with our frozen pizza. Hey, I didn't say Date Night meant 4 course dinner ;)
We actually sat at the kitchen table and had our little meal surrounded by candlelight. After dinner we went to the living room and sat down together to watch a DVR movie. It was soooo nice. Just to be together - with baby sleeping - and no interruptions. Genius idea - we are just wondering why we didn't come up with it earlier? :)
Moms n More is in the morning - looking forward to it! Then, bring on the SNNOOOWWWW!
