Beautiful Couple's Shower!

Saturday we had our Couple's Shower that our very sweet friends threw for us in LR. It was such a special evening - we just had the BEST time sharing this blessing with everyone we love and we felt so very special. :) Somerset and Steven moved here from Tulsa and we are thrilled to have them in LR!!! It was hosted at their apartment in the evening and it was a casual cookout shower - get ready for tons of pics!

Super cute door wreath that Lauren and I bought together to share since we are both having boys this summer - we decided to use it for our showers too! Perfect touch :)

Yummy food table - MMMMMM we had BBQ from one of the best places in LR and it was delish!

Look at this gorgeous diaper cake Somerset made for us! It was breathtaking - perfect colors to match our bedding/color theme for the nursery. She seriously needs to start a business on the side - (in all her spare time right? ha!) She is super creative and talented!! Also - she hid goodies all through the cake for us to find - baby lotions, butt paste, paci's and all sorts of great items.

When we walked into the door we were greeted by this cute table where people could sign a frame for Logan to put in his room - such a sweet idea!

Beautiful food table - they did such an AMAZING job decorating - all the little touches added up to be so perfect.

sorry for the sideways pic - it wouldn't upload correctly ;)

And just LOOK at this unbelievable cake - Rachel, Lauren's sister, makes gorgeous cakes and I was thrilled when she agreed to make one for our shower - it turned out too perfectly!

That little baby topper is too precious!

The Cake Queen and I (thank you Rachel!!!!)

Mr. Harley - Somerset and Steven's precious bulldog

We played the Dirty Diaper Game - hilarious! Here is Amber telling us the instructions and giving us a sneak peek of what was to come :)

YUM - right? (I think this was the Mound diaper) I got all but one right and I think Trey got every single candy correct!

Cake Time!!!
As you can see, Trey was too excited that Rachel made two different layers - the top was Carrot Cake his all time favorite, and the bottom is my favorite: yellow cake with chocolate frosting!

Amori and Scott - she is one of my Wonder Place girls that I used to work with - so glad they could come!
Gift time! Trey opened all the gifts since this is his only shower - we did the same for our Kitchen Shower since it was Couples when we were engaged. I think he really enjoyed his "time to shine" :)

Our Baby Book for Logan - Yay!!!

My dear penpal, Kaitlin and her husband Ray sent us a gift for us to open. It was so special to have them there in spirit (they live in Virginia). They gave us a sweet card, bottles, and The Giving Tree book - they wrote a very special note inside the book and I couldn't even read it for fear of crying hysterically. I saved it for when I got home and it will be a wonderful keepsake - thank you Kaitlin and Ray!!!!

Love me some monogrammed items!!!

Clearly I was excited or shocked, one or the other, about something that was occurring on the other side of the room - haha Priceless expression.

Beautiful Hannah

The Two Preggers! Lauren and I touching tummy's - Logan and Austin will be best buds!

Me at 30 weeks!

I feel like I say this all the time - but only because it is so very true. We are just so blessed and lucky to have such amazing friends! We were surrounded by so much support and love on Saturday night it was incredible. My friends did such a fabulous job with the shower down to every detail. A huge THANKS to all my besties - you outdid yourselves and we are so very thankful for the shower for us and Logan. :)
We are spending the rest of the weekend trying to do a little more to the nursery and catching up on Mad Men. It is raining outside - no fun - so spending time with the pups and doing laundry is fine by us!

Favorite Books - Show Us Your Life

Kelly's Korner is doing the Show Us Your Life Fridays and this week is favorite books! I love love love to read a good book if time allows - which is not that often now that I am so gosh darn tired from baking a baby all day :)

But, I always have time for my all time favorite series - probably cliche (but I don't care) The Twilight Series!!! I love me some Edward and Bella - I have read each of these books 2-3 times and of course watched the movies a ba-jillion times! I heart sparkly vampires. There. I said it and I admit it. Don't judge me, I am in the Twilight Trance..................

My second favorite series is "Confessions of a Shopaholic." I have been in love with these books for a long time - This book is absolutely hilarious and soo true if you live for shopping, which I did at one time! I lived and breathed shopping and this was such a accurate depiction of what a shopaholic thinks and feels when they are in a store and faced with a super cute pair of shoes or a fabulous purse - you buy it! (ahem, charge it)

(It is interesting that my dogs are named Bella and Sophie - both of which are names dealing with my two favorite series.) Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm ;)

Another book I loved and still really like from high school is The Joy Luck Club. I read this for a paper in English class in HS and I liked it so much I have re-read it a couple of times through-out the years.

And for now in my life - I am reading about bringing home baby and what to expect the first year. Ahhhh so much information!
Thanks for stopping by and happy blogging!! :)

29 Weeks and 4D Ultrasound!!

Introducing: Baby Logan in 4D!!!

We just loved our ultrasound today - it was such a great experience and I can't say enough good things about Baby Views - Shea is so amazing and does such a great job. It was surreal seeing his little face - what he will look like, minus all the fluid swimming around him - ha! He is just precious - a doll - of course he is my son, so I am definitely going to think he is a cutie. But don't take my word for it - see for yourself!

Look at that sweet baby boy - and those chubby cheeks!

Here is the money shot - he showed us his sweet face for a while, and then he was tired of that and started playing with his hands and feet. He pretty much stayed in this position for 10 minutes of the ultrasound - waving his hands all in his face and pulling his feet/toes with his hands - too funny. He is definitely a showoff - we tried to get him to pull his hands away so we could see his face more - I even rolled over twice onto my side, but no progress. He was perfectly happy with the position he was in - though it looked quite uncomfortable to us!

He even scrunched his forehead at one point and it looked like he was getting mad - it was too stinkin cute!

I am still measuring right on track with 29 weeks and he is growing great - there is enough fluid and his measurements look great so we are so thankful! I think this definitely makes it feel more real seeing him - I felt him kicking during the appointment and then I could see him moving around on the screen - soo neat.
We can't wait to meet you Mr. Logan - you already have so many people that have so much love for you. You are one lucky little boy!! :)

Baby Shower!

Today, two of my mom's dear friends, Susan and Paula, threw me a lovely Baby Shower. This shower was for my mom's Sunday School class, and other friends, and I also invited my Mother-in-law and her friends. The table was beautiful, the food was yummy, and the cake was too cute!

My super cute invitation

Look at that cake! Paula's sister made it and it was definitely Delicious! See those precious shoes - I actually don't have any shoes for him yet so they are perfect.

We mingled, ate, and then it was time to open presents. Logan got some wonderful gifts, he is so lucky! Lots of cute clothes, bibs, onesies, toys, and a handmade quilt! Here is a hilarious gift - Susan had this baby potty on her fireplace with a little cabbage patch doll sitting on it with his pants down. I couldn't figure out what he was doing until she handed me the potty with an explanation that he had already "tried it out" and it works perfectly!
Haha - how hilarious and creative is this?! it is jello and a baby ruth candy bar - it looks pretty real! So very funny - definitely got a major laugh out of the ladies.

Susan, me, and Paula - sweet hostesses!

I am so blessed to have such amazing family

My mom with her two besties - and the potty!

It is a cute little training potty - at least we know how much it can hold - haha

The doggies checking out the presents once we got home - I am quite sure they thought it was all for them...

The pretty quilt - so sweet of my mom's friend to make that for Logan. He will love it!

My mom bought me my breast pump for the shower - yay!!!

Another pic of the precious shoes - chocolate and blue: match made in heaven :)

Cute outfits - he received some in all different sizes so he will be set for months!

I had such an amazing day - I just love showers, not only because it is fun to be together with everyone but it makes you feel so very special that these guests are coming for me and for Logan. How neat is that? Just so much love in the air :)

Nursery Part 1

Its been a few days - sorry! I have been busy busy with work and spending time with friends. We got the mattress in yesterday and put the crib together with the bedding - minus sheets. It is soooo stinkin cute I can't wait to get it all completely ready! Here is a little sneak peek at the nursery...

Cute frame from etsy.com

First piggy bank from etsy.com

Little lamp shade from modpeapod.com where I ordered the bedding - we just bought the lamp base tonight and put it together.

The semi-ready crib!!! Oooooooh I am in love with his bedding and colors - yay!

This is in the very early stages - but here is his book shelf and some of the gifts we have received from sweet friends/family and showers. I will work on organization once we have everything together. :)

Little clothes in the closet - too precious...

Another crib shot...

I have my next shower this weekend and I am very excited! I will post pics and hopefully another nursery update on Sunday :)
Next week is a busy week for us - we have doctor's appointments Monday, Tuesday, and Friday! Tuesday is our 4D ultrasound and we can barely stand the wait - my mom and mother-in-law are coming and it will be so special for us all to see Baby Logan! We also had our first birthing class this past Monday which was really neat. I love our teacher and we got to tour the hospital and labor/delivery wing - so surreal. I can't believe I will be there in another couple of months!!!
