Birthday Boy!

Someone turned the BIG 2!!! We can barely believe it - but he sure is acting like a two year old...words are exploding by the second, repeating every thing we say, playing by himself for longer periods of time, figuring out puzzles and asking for things. AND of course, throwing tantrums. :)  He is such a joy - light of our life. Sweet sweet baby boy. He turned 2 on July 20th which was a Friday and we had his 2nd birthday party on his bday at The Wonder Place. Here are a few pics from his birthday week... and by the way it is HOT!!!!!

Tasting his shoe - ick

His best friends - Rectangle and Triangle. He is obsessed with his shapes puzzles - anything shapes! He carries them around all the time, always putting shapes back in their places and wanting to watch his shapes tv shows like bubble guppies and baby einstein.

Big yawn - it was a rough week because he was sick most of it. Fever virus for 3-4 days! Then teething, snot, and yucky yuckyness.

watching bubble guppies - one of his favorites!

And its PARTY DAY! It was a Farm Theme because he loves animals!

Smores brownies - yumo

Texas Trash Dip

Cupcakes with animal toppers

Favor sacks for the kiddos - inside was an animal lollypop, farm stickers, bubbles, animal crackers, and fruit snacks

Logan on his big day - Grammy and Gigi did a good job of keeping up with him following him around so I could decorate the room and talk to guests :)

He loves the water table at The Wonder Place!

Its his party and he'll cry if he wants too!

Sweet precious baby toddler - love. this.boy.

Lauren and Austin

Logan eating his snack before the big cupcake debut. Since he doesn't eat hardly anything we knew he wouldn't try the cupcake but we didn't think about the candle freaking him out.

Here is the pic when she put the candle in front of him and we sang happy birthday...

Grammy saved the day - ha! He just wanted out of that chair

The party was a success - everyone had a blast and he was in a pretty good mood. So special to celebrate not only with his little friends, but with sweet family - Michelle, Richard and Logan's cousins came into town to help celebrate!

Cheesin face :)

Crazy face. 50 Shades of Logan... (ha only funny if you've read the book...)

Cringing face...

Happy face - mom move while I am watching my video!

Playing with Michelle's phone in the restaurant. He holds the phone up to his hear at home and says "hello"  "oh okay" and "hey girl" its hilarious!!

Daddy and Logan sharing his night routine movie - big birthday boy

It was a great day - and I am just now realizing we didn't get any pics of family that day. None of Trey, family, grandparents or Trey's Sister and he family! EEK - where was my brain...

Logan is having meltdowns left and right these days. This is before breakfast. Mommy did something wrong in his eyes - but he couldn't tell me what. He sobbed and cried forever until he finally tried a bite.

AND we had our first major bloody accident. He was mad because his bubble guppies ended in the AM while I was getting ready for work. He ran from the TV to his chair that was backed up against our coffee table and slammed into it and I heard a crack. He slammed his forehead into it and I immediately picked him up. Then, I pulled him back and his face was covered in blood - all in his eyes, nose, all over and it was so hard not to freak out! I shakily took him to the bathroom to wash his face off and called Trey. Finally I saw it was coming from his forehead and it stopped almost immediately. It just looked awful.

This is the aftermath. Once I cleaned his face off. It was so scary. Luckily he calmed down quickly but my nerves were shot the rest of the day. The plight of being a mommy :)

We survived our first traumatic bloody incident - yay! Hopefully we can hold off on the next one for a few months??

It is so unbelievably hot here - miserable. But the other morning I raced us to the Zoo before it got claustrophobic outside and we enjoyed a quiet morning with the animals. It was shaded and a little breezy so it worked out well. He ate his snack in the car before we headed home.

He is so sweet - giving kisses to everything. Even Sophie. He is trying to learn about boys and girls - well mainly that he and daddy are boys and mommy and sophie are girls.
He is wearing a size 6 diaper and he still eats the same items all the time.
He sleeps fantastic - 7 pm - 7 am and 1 nap at 1 pm. He is into shapes, animals, colors and numbers. He can now count to 13!!
He loves trying on all shoes - esp daddy and mommys. He can walk pretty well in my heels around the house  - haha.
What a blessing he is to our lives - such a beautiful gift!
