Where do the days go???

Its been forever. We've been MIA. Sorry bloggy world - what can I say... I am BUSY chasing a toddler around!!! Ha :)

We are having such a good time together - Logan is growing and learning so much right before my eyes and I relish all the time we get to spend together and I soak it in - the days are long but will be gone before I know it and I wouldn't want to spend the days any other way. He is the light in my life and I am so lucky to get to hang out with this little man every day!!!

Having a quick snack on his Diner Table - we always put him in his highchair, but we were literally running out the door and it was easier to put some cheerios on the diner table - he thought it was the neatest thing!! He sat down and ate a bite then we were off...

He loves opening/closing the microwave - so sweet

Mama is SO MEAN :)

Since its been forever I will give a daily update so I can remember what we used to do in a day with Logan at 20ish months.
Wake up at 7:30-8 am and he is happy as a clam. Talking and rolling around his crib while I pull myself out of bed and go get him. For someone that is not a morning person what a joy it is to walk in his bedroom and he is smiling and ready to start the day - makes me in an instant good mood! We change then in the Pack n Play he goes listening to his music and playing while I make his waffles/bananas.
He eats breakfast then he is off to play - no more gating him behind the baby gate, he is OVER that so I moved it over to gate off the DVD/entertainment area :)
He runs around and reads books, plays in his ball pit, opens and closes doors, plays with Sophie, goes into his room and our bedroom. Loves to play on the bed and watch the fan. Usually we have a playdate in the morning or something to do so around 10 am we are out the door. We play and then get back home by 12:30 for lunch and nap at 1 pm. He sleeps until 2-3 and then we play more or go for a walk, wonder place, etc. If he is fussy or sick we watch a video.
Monkey Bread - SINFULLY YUMMY!!!!!
Then, he has a little snack around 3:30 ish and we play more until bathtime or dinner at 5:30. 6 pm starts night routine with his baby einstein video and then get ready for bed at 6:45. Read books and say night night light - sing twinkle twinkle star and off to sleep he goes at 7 pm. Usually he rolls around and talks to himself for a little while but never cries :)
Such a little man - he is learning how to move his cars/trucks, put blocks into the correct holes, open close everything and so much more. He knows who babies are and points them out. He also is throwing tantrums when we leave places - he threw a big one when we left the Wonder Place and I humbly carried him like a football and ran out as he was kicking and crying. He thrashed around the car until he was ready to politely sit in his car seat. Mama don't tolerate tantrums. Diaper changing is fun too - he drops dead weight onto the floor and won't let me pick him up - he is also kicking on the changing table - oh dear. I put him in time out 1 time before the diaper came off and he is better about when I say no kicking he stops. We haven't had to do much Time Out but I started counting 1...2....3 and he sort of knows that means business.
He is kind of getting to the point he tries to prolong nighttime. We let him walk back to the bedroom by himself and then we pick him up to put him on the changing table. He smiles and stays in the hallway until we count or last night I had to go pick him up.
Eating is a subject I don't even want to discuss - its still completely ridiculous what the kid lives on and what he won't even dare to touch or taste. Pretty much anything. Oh well - some day :)

Isn't he just the CUTEST thing ever?????
That is how he says "Please" by holding up his hand - ahhhh manners make me happy!!

In other exciting news my foot is almost healed up! I can walk and exercise moderately - HOORAY!!! 4 weeks later, thank goodness! Back on my weight loss track - I've lost almost 40 pounds and still going! Though today I ate a big ole mint brownie and chocolate bar cookie at a playdate....eh you only live once right? ;)

Cheesin at 19 Months!

I mean how precious is he??? It can't get better than this right? He is so stinkin cute - but I know more cuteness is just around the corner and I can't imagine how on earth my heart could handle much more!! But, don't you worry - I will sure try :)

Very very very active toddler...

Thirst Break :)

Then, back in the action - helping Mama push my laundry cart to the laundry room (who am I kidding...he really just wanted to push it around and tried to brush my hand off the cart when I tried to make him push it to the actual wash room and then he got completely frustrated at said cart and promptly gave up.) ha - but it was still precious!

Logan you are 19 months old!!!!!! How can that be!??
Size 5 diapers
Sleep: Nap is from 1 pm - 2 or 3 pm (every day is different) And he still goes down at 7 pm - 7-8 am the next morning - heavenly!
Eat - Eh...he is still the pickiest eater on the planet :) He is eating waffles, bananas, cheese cubes, PB toast, Raisin Toast, crackers, yogurt, and puree pouches to get veggies, fruit, etc. That is IT. He does drink milk and water so that is a plus! We still put other foods on his tray to try but it hasn't happened yet... still holding out hope...

He is putting together blocks - like big leggos, focusing on 2 blocks at a time taking them apart and putting them back together. He is making his toy cars go around on the floor like he is driving them with his little hands.
He loves his music - we let him handle his cd boombox and he is obsessed! I am noticing he loves everything REAL. Like the real cd player, not his toy version. The real tv remote not the 5 fake ones we have, the real microwave not his pretend one, and the real old cell phone, not his funny talking toy one. Oh dear :)
He has semi slowed down on wanting every single light and lamp on at all times. He can say "ight" now for Light and he is fascinated with opening/closing things and wanting to hear the words open and close.

He stands in front of the mirror and claps or puts hats on and off laughing. He wants us to imitate this too - and he will play peekaboo with curtains and we say "where is logan?" He will pull the curtain back or open a door and then he thinks its hilarious :)
SUCH a fun age - but also a challenging one. He is really trying to exercise his control over things like diaper changes - man those can be difficult! He kicks his legs and laughs even though we are seriously in his face telling him "no sir." He will pitch a fit when leaving a fun place if he isn't done playing....or brush my hand off of him if I am holding him back or away from something he isnt supposed to get into or have. We were in Fayetteville over the weekend and he brushed my hand away, then gently smacked my hand (very lightly popped it but still...) I grabbed his hand and got in his face and said "no!"
So, as you can see we are entering the twilight zone folks - you never know what the day will bring! :) But honestly, for the most part he is such a joy - and I am so proud to be his mama :)

He loves watching the trucks in the neighborhood - this is the mail truck and he is watching it intently

staring at his Lion

Doggie kisses :) We are trying to teach him to "blow kisses" he is trying to get it

"Gotta get some business done on my laptop, mom"

New Kipper dvd he loves!

He loves his doggie that Gi Gi got him :)

First time we flipped the car seat around for the Fville trip - he was loving it and we liked being able to see him and interact to hand him toys, drinks, etc

At first he was terrified of the hotel room - but then finally realized it was super cool. I brought a full 31 bag full of toys but he didn't touch them the entire time! He was too busy playing with the mirror closet doors that slid open and the microwave that was just his height!

Makeshift highchair - we brought his little red Chicco chair and it worked perfectly on the hotel table! Excuse the stinky faces :)

The only pics I could get of Birthday Boy Cole and Logan - haha

Not a single pic of them next to each other looking into the camera - of course not they are busy busy boys!!! We so enjoyed our time in Fville and were excited to be there for Cole's first birthday!!!

Look how BIG he is!!!! He is so tall, I can remember when his little leggies didn't reach that bottom part of the high chair
And..............the moment you have all been waiting for..............the gimp foot.................
Looking much better right? Actually, sad but true - it IS. After 2 weeks of complete misery, mind-blowing pain, insane swelling, and just an overall nightmare come true it is FINALLY feeling better and like I won't have to amputate it! Hooray! Right when I just about gave up and threw in the towel... it started feeling a pinch better.
I am telling you what folks - this has been a rollercoaster - I don't deal well with pain at all and this kind of pain mixed with trying to be a fulltime mom really put me to the test. Without a good support system you have nothing - so man am I thankful for loved ones and friends who were so sweet to check on me and help out and THANK GOODNESS for my sweet mother who dropped everything for days upon end to help me and spend the night!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't have survived without her so Logan and I both are so blessed and appreciative of Grammy! :)
It is on the mend so I am feeling better and my spirits have been restored - I was a complete mess the last couple of weeks so whew - glad that parts over!!! And now I am looking forward to a Zoo day or day at the park to enjoy this amazing weather - maybe next week!
